The Hermit

The former Hermit fell into madness, and the one who caused it all took his place. The knight took up the Magician’s wand and gained strength from their wisdom.

The knight brought food to the boy. While the ravens were distracted, the knight pulled the boy away from their body. The ghosts said that the giant creature screamed terribly. The boy had nowhere else to go and could only trust the knight’s guidance.

The knight leads the boy through the vines, searching for a way out of the secluded wetlands. This card calls upon you to become your own “sage”: trust your inner maturity and judgement, view your current situation from a long-term perspective, and believe in the guiding light within yourself.

Reality has become a reflection, and the two seem trapped beneath the water. You have beautiful visions and aspirations, but the pressure of your environment prevents you from fully expressing yourself, and you begin to feel anxious as well.

Sometimes, the reversed Hermit also suggests that you do not truly enjoy being isolated, and feel panic and unhappy.
